very nice shot. Where did you see this thresher? I have made three trips to the brother islands in Egypt and two out of the three trips threshers have been seen, but they managed to avoid me both times!!
Hi Eric, I was there in may last year and we saw OWT in every single dive in Deadalous reef. We also visited The Brothers and had the luck to share the water with grey reef, threshers, and hammerheads on the same trip. I'm actually going back in may…
Hi Ronda,
Thanks for your comments......all the photos have been taken in the southern Red Sea, mainly Brothers and Deadalous reefs. I'm going back on new years eve (fingers crossed we get to see them again).
I guess yourquestion refers to Hayah trip. They are week subsidied by HEPCA Hurghada Environmental Protection and Conservation Association) on liveaboards were we do clean ups. I do at least one a year. I believe if every diver did a clean up dive, the enviromental impact may not be a great thing but, the educational one towards people that lives in not so developed countries that sees us collecting and giving our times to care about the ocean, has a massive value.
Hugs.
it's great to hear you like the Calendar. You should definitely feel very proud of January as you made a great contribution to the iDive Shark calendar ... as have many other members. You should also feel proud for the part you have played in our joint efforts to support 'anti shark finning' ... and now you get to enjoy those images for a whole 12 mths. Sounds like a Win - Win ... give a little and get a little.
Once again, thank you for helping iDive Sharks make this happen.
