Hi, really like your pic's. In 2007 I was in COCO's Island myself with Agressor. It's a real shark divers paradise! (but in danger...the illegal fishing, longliners). Hope, to be back one day....
Hi Sandra
Bull shark dive? Is that in Playa del Carmen? If yes, does anybody actually organize shark dives?
I did see some bull sharks there some years ago, but it was just drifting by on 40m at Tortugas.
Hey ! well, I live really close from Merida, only 52km far from there, it's a little fishers town called Sisal; I'm studing there Sustentable Mangement of the Coast Zone so I have 1 year 6 months living there, I still have 2 ½ years ahead.
Yeah ! of course I know Playa, actually I spent this Dicember 2 days there, unfortunately I couldn't dive with bull sharks and it was AWFUL!!! I saw that with the rent of the equipment it was $85USD, right? but my family didn't want to wait or change the vacations plans for me to do that; anyway I hope I can make that soon, before the 10% of the sharks are left in the world get exticted :-(
And anyway, 6 years is a lot ! I guess by now you speak a really good Spanish, Am I right?
Sandra, so as far as I remember you told me that you're one of the people that organize the diving shark trips in Playa, right? Cause I wanna go with 3 more friends to Playa in 2 weeks and we're calculating prices to see if we'll go or not. How much and how long the diving lasts? Can u tell me gral info ??
Thanks !
Hi Mariana, I'm sorry, but it's a little late...the sharks are gone already. The time to go diving with them is from december until march. Last year we could find them until april, but that was special. Since 2 weeks we don't encounter them anymore. For sure, you can try it, but there is a high chance, just to see only sand, because there is not even a reef on the 'shark spot'. Sorry, next year then. But anyway, there are other beautiful diving spots, to see turtles (the hatching is starting) or in Cenotes. Hope, you'll have a great time, greetings, Sandra.
