Thank you Megan for posting the link: I have been following Domeier’s tagging of the Great Whites on the National Geographic Channel. I have not yet seen the episode where they come across the squid, but it is rather fascinating that they may be going to specific areas to feed.
This just further proves how little we actually know about our oceans. There is still so much we have yet to discover. But proving that sharks are not mindless killers of the seas is vital to their survival. Unfortunately whenever there is a coming together between humans and sharks for the wrong reasons (an attack), the media reports are of a vicious killer lurking just out of sight. Unfortunately there will always be accidents as long as we continue to share the seas with sharks without understanding their migratory patterns and behaviour.
Regards
Sean
